Airport Logistics and Burner Express
The airport recommends arriving at least two hours before flights. Due to ongoing construction, the Burner Express pick-up and drop-off location is located a short distance from the Main Terminal.
Upon arrival at RNO, attendees can locate the Air Playa Info desk in the Main Terminal Lobby, near the Ski Statue. Following the event, passengers may donate unwanted items and bicycles at the Burner Express drop-off point.
Driving to Black Rock City
The Black Rock Desert is approximately a few hours' drive from the Truckee-Tahoe and Reno area. While the drive is straightforward, traffic congestion increases significantly on routes leading toward the desert during the event.

Post-Playa Stays in Reno and Tahoe
Many attendees utilize Reno and Lake Tahoe for post-event decompression. If staying at the Grand Sierra Resort (GSR), specific protocols apply for vehicle management.
- Unloading: Use the Valet Porte Cochere to unload belongings. Do not use the main entrance to load or unload RVs, trailers, or oversized vehicles.
- Parking: RV, trailer, and oversized vehicle parking is restricted to registered hotel guests. Parking passes cost $75 per vehicle and must be purchased at the entrance to the RV parking area in the East parking lot, accessible off Greg Street near the Truckee River.
- Trash: Dumpsters are located on the East side of the property. Usage costs $50 per vehicle. These are available from the evening of September 5 through the morning of September 9.
- Dust Management: Free compressed air dust-off stations are available at the main entrances of the GSR.
