WIC Benefits at Farmers Markets
Placer County WIC participants can use their benefits to purchase fresh, seasonal produce at WIC-authorized farmers markets. Families with updated California WIC cards featuring a QR code can scan the code at checkout. The cost is deducted from the monthly fruits and vegetables benefit balance.
Monthly benefit amounts for WIC participants are:
- $26 for children ages 1 to 5
- $47 for pregnant and postpartum individuals
- $52 for individuals who are breastfeeding
- $78 for individuals breastfeeding more than one infant
