While the view at Colfax, located seven miles uphill, might show active precipitation or snow accumulation, this lower-elevation perspective often remains clear or shows only wet pavement. Checking this feed helps determine if the highway agency has shifted chain controls down to this level or if the lower grade remains open to all traffic.
