This live video stream offers a view of traffic conditions at an elevation of 4,345 feet, placing it well below the first chain control points at Mogul and Gold Ranch. Because this location sits at a lower altitude than the mountain passes, it often remains clear even when weather begins to impact higher elevations. If this feed shows wet pavement or rain while cameras at higher points display snow, drivers can anticipate that chain restrictions may soon move down the grade toward this area.
