At 4,232 feet, this camera sits at a lower elevation than the nearby points at E McCarran Boulevard and Battleborn. Because it is positioned well below the chain-control points at Mogul and the Gold Ranch state line, this view often remains clear even when higher sections face winter restrictions. Monitoring this feed helps determine if precipitation is accumulating at the base of the grade or if the lower valley floor remains clear of immediate road hazards.
