What this camera shows

This camera provides a live video stream of traffic conditions at an elevation of 4,413 feet. Because this location sits at a lower altitude than both the Mogul and Gold Ranch chain-control points, it typically remains clear and dry even when winter storms begin to impact the higher grades further west. If this view shows heavy precipitation or accumulating snow, it indicates that conditions are deteriorating rapidly across the entire corridor, as this section is usually the last to experience the effects of a storm compared to the higher elevations found at Robb Drive.
