At an elevation of 4,832 feet, this camera sits slightly higher than the Mogul chain-control point, which is located three miles away at 4,724 feet. Because it is positioned between the lower-elevation Wells Avenue camera and the slightly higher East of W McCarran view, it serves as a critical midpoint for monitoring how conditions change as traffic begins the climb toward the higher mountain passes.
